I went to the Merida Marathon event at Llanwrtyd Wells the other week and rode the Sportive on the Saturday and the long course on the Sunday... at some point on the Saturday the inside of my right knee started to ache, that continued all day on the Sunday... I rested it for a few days then went for a 140 mile ride last weekend and it started aching (not very badly) after about 30 miles. Medial Ligament (I think???)... anyway I'm riding the Tour of the Black Mountains this weekend that I expect wont help my knee, all in preparation for my first solo attempt at Sleepless in the Saddle... so the question is (finally) after this weekend, should I back-off completely for a couple of weeks and rest it with plenty of ice and ibuprofen gel?

I think the cause is partly a slight misalignment of cleat position and pronation (got very flat feet!)

Cheers
JB

sounds like you may need some varus/valgus shims or footbeds.
(i'm not a physio so am not qualified to offer any advice)
