Looking for something to make me seen when I'm on the road (i've got a rear light) and to help me out through woods etc see as though the nights are drawing in.

Forget the head mount as it just clips on your bars.
Other lights are available off them.
I got one for our plasterer as he does a lot of hiking.
Look really nice in the flesh.

For cheap lights (£30 or less), you should try the Chinese websites Dealextreme, or Lightmalls. Lightmalls delivery is quicker (10 days) than DX(4 weeks)

I've got the one above. Best as a helmet light, as the beam is a bit narrow. For the money they are very good.
Wouldn't recomend it on the helmet on the road though, but fine on the bars.

Rob - was that from the DX European warehouse? They only have limited choice but much quicker.

No.Just the normal DX.
They must have fed the donkey extra carrots before they sent it on it,s way. 😉
Personally i use trouts LL and baby but for the money these are spot on.

Ordered a set off of these guys:

Absolutely brilliant.

I also ordered a set off of Amazon via Singapore and the see and be seen lights are better in build quality and charger.

Both however put my Hope lights to shame.....
