Hi all im running a 2001 elo lefty on my 2001 jakyll and im considering swapping it for a conversion fork. my lefty lock out stopped working at my last enduro race and its over due a service at a cost and id like a bit more travel shoud I swap or fix my lefty would I regret going over to a standerd fork
I ran a lefty on my F800 from around the same age for many many years.
Comparing it to my CTD Fox forks, the Fox's are worlds apart for the better.
I ran several leftys over the years but not currently using one. You've got a bit of an ancient fork on the go there so I'd be looking at moving on - several iterations of leftys between yours and what is current. You could get the lefty fixed - they're v durable in that way, but the cost would be more than what the fork is now worth (in monetary terms).
Slight problem with new leftys is that they cost the earth, so most people shop secondhand. Even a dlr2 or similar from a few years back would be a big upgrade and they go for not much on ebay.
