All my bikes currently have 9 speed drivetrains. I was cleaning one of them last weekend and it was beginning to look a bit worn out. I was idly wondering about finally biting the bullet and getting a 10 speed drivetrain. Then I thought that upgrading to 10 speed at the moment may make it all obsolescent again quite quickly. X01 however is still considerably more expensive than 10 speed X9/XT, so I was wondering if there have been any signs of X91 (or whatever 11 speed X9 will be called) being on the horizon yet?

I've heard it'll be on 2015 bikes - in industry years, September onwards 🙂

Maybe I should keep my 9 speed drivetrain limping on until summer ends then. 🙂
