bodybuilding.com is an awesome resource and not just for bodybuilders. Has a load of info on all types of weight training type exercises together with workout plans.

Ewan that guy......I dont even know.....his weighted stuff is pretty much what I'm after for starters.
Bah, no balance ball, I just do bodyweight and a few dumbbell things in the gym at work
