Down at the in laws in dartford this weekend and the weather doesn't look completely horrific so planning to take my bike.

Does anyone know of any riding in that area/Kent? Ideally way marked so I don't get lost and anything resembling hard pack would be good?

Cheers

The Europa mountains are excellent. The largest man-made hills in the world, created using the spoil from the channel-tunnel. Obviously too new to have mature tree-cover yet but still plenty of little trails to explore, and not huge either so won't have too much snow at the top.

If you are in Dartford then Joydens Wood and Dartford heath.... not good riding but riding.

From there it is a 50 minutes to Surrey Hills which if you are from a long way off are worth the drive.

Haa! You'll be lucky. Riding around north North Kent (just a few miles north of Dartford)last night and conditions were atrocious. So cold that snow hasn't melted in areas and therefore tons of standing water & axle deep mud.

Head for some elevation (we're heading for Surrey Hills this weekend in the belief that some terrain will have drained better).
