This looks good, anything else going on that people are taking part in ? Preferably around Hampshire or Surrey and not quite as intense for a beginner !

Well worth a visit if you are local - fun way-marked blue/red routes and off-piste stuff if you look for it.
Lots of stuff in the Surrey Hills around Peaslake/Holmbury etc. but mostly unmarked so you may need to explore a bit (or just follow people!).. Summer Lightning and Barry Knows Best are good starting points (plenty of information available to Google).
