Just wondered if anyone know of any European companies producing 29er bikes at the moment? Looks like the US has cornered the market, with a few decent UK offerings, but nothing from Europe yet. Anyone seen any Euro clown wheelers?

on-one

And I know at least one euro company that will have one late this year. but its hush hush.

But then it comes out of Taiwan, so why not get a Niner or salsa, or whatever. The new el mariachi looks effin great, we will have a demo el mariachi in a few weeks.

There’s a few more but these are the ones that I can remember the names of:
- Scott does one Scale 29er this year and will have 5 aluminium and carbon models next year
- Titici does a carbon 29er hardtail called the Fielty Nine
- Paduano does Ti 29ers
- Nicolai has done quite a few custom FS and hardtail 29ers
- Nevi does their own Ti 29er as well as the Singular Pegasus
- Bianchi does 29ers
- A prototype Pronghorn FS 29er has been spotted in the wild
- Mi Tech seems to have a carbon 29er hardtail on way

Author has 3 29er's and the top model Instinct 29 with Reba and x9/x7 costs around £900
[img] [/img]

Than there is Romet with the 29-er
[img] [/img]

This one has x5/x7 and Tora 29 and costs about £700
Newer model for 2011 is made out of Reynolds 631, Tora, Deore/XT (r.mech and shifters), Juicy 3 and will cost about £800

These are probably cheaper end of the scale for Euro 29er's. Also there is a factory in Mielec that can do custom frames HERE my GF's brother got a track frame with his geometry for just over £100 (the "Frames made to order" option in the very bottom) so You can design Your own 29er. Only thing is they use aluminium only and the frames are not the lightest but strong.

In addition to the above. Duratec, Author and I'm pretty sure the other big Czech brands do 29ers as well. I met the guys from Gas29 in Finale. Really nice fellas and doing some sweet frames actually made in Europe (as are our Pegasus Ti frames). There are quite a few out there.
