I've been doing some CX races recently (just for a laugh)
First one on a CX bike, it hurt.
Then I did the same race on my Scott XC bike - faster, more fun and didn't hurt.
Last night I did the event on my YT. I rode round the outside of everyone on the corners, then they sped off on the straight bits. Loads of grip, but too much drag.
I wasn't last by a long way.
Its a CX race, you should have each of those in the pit & swap bike each lap!

One of my mates is going to do it on his Fat Bike next week, I'm going to see if I can borrow an electric bike.
So that's one more use of electric bikes I approve of
