Following on from MTGs display of gallantry below....

I was at Carsington today with LittleMissMC when a couple walked past. He was pushing a decent spec Boardman and wearing similar quality riding kit as if he knew what he was doing, she was pushing a hire bike....

....with one leg covered in bleeding gravel rash from the hem of her hotpants to her knee.

From the look of them I just got the impression that they hadn't been together long and this was a date going very badly.

So I guess someone on here must have had a similar bad experience?

Our first cycling date involved riding with Bradley Wiggins. 18 years later we still cycle together. Not meaning Bradley, obviously.

Llandegla a few years ago, young lad and g/f about mid 20,s, on the uphill part, couple of riders pass them she get spalshed with mud, he laughs out loud, she tells him its not funny, i laugh, she throws bike down and runs back down hill, he then says to me, and ive just bought her that bike, and she has the car keys, what can i do with her bike now.

I did a drop off at Hamsterley once in front of my ex girlfriend. My seat snapped off and the seatpost went right up my bum.

I've never had a girlfriend since.

All the rides I have had on dates have turned out pretty well for both parties ๐Ÿ˜‰
