[#12081649]

I appear to have killed my e-bike in the last crash so have got what I can from it and am left with a dead battery and a broken motor. The crash was a side impact into a tree at about 15mph which seemed to have been quite brutal when I came round. The frame is a bit bent and now turns left much better than right. The battery that was near full charge at the time now shows no charge, no signs of life and nothing lights up when I plug it in. The motor is relatively new but the impact broke the 5mm metal casing snapping off one of the bolting points.

If anyone can make any use of these then they are in Southampton and PM me with your suggestion.

There's a guy in Fordingbridge who services and repairs e-bike motors, batteries etc. Maybe have a word with him and see if its worth salvaging?

Where my dad takes his

Edit - hope you're OK and thats not the new bike!

I think it's the other way around, that wasn't his first rodeo.

Dear god, you really do continue to live up to your username. Again, hope your ok? Have you been checked out, if you were knocked out?

Might be useful to mention what make/model the parts are.

It was a few months ago on the old bike but I have only just got around to stripping the bike down as I decided to buy a different bike in the hope that it wouldn't crash so much.

I am sure I could get the battery fixed but not much use with a bent frame and the motor caseing snapped.

I would rather give a keen STWer the chance to have a play.

Thanks for the concern. I was only out for a less than a minute I think as the cut in the tree bark had only just started to ooze, unlike the one on my leg

Love to play with the battery and try and rescue it. Is it still available?
