Basically, i download apps to my ipad for my daughter to use (straight to ipad, not via pc), then because of the icloud syncing thing, they also magically show up on my iphone as well. So far so good. The problem is, if i make an in-app purchase on the ipad (e.g. Upgrading a free game) the app on my iphone doesn't upgrade to show the new purchased content.
I've tried backing up both devices via itunes but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

AFAIK you have to download IAPs separately on each device. It will tell you how much it is, then when you press OK it will tell you you've already purchased it so can download it again for free - as long as you're using the same iTunes account and it's the same app on both (e.g. Not a standard app on the phone and an HD app on the iPad). Pretty sure this is how it works, even though it looks at first like you have to spend out again. Don't hate me if I just cost you another £1.99 though 🙂
