Planning a visit while I'm up there later this month but I've only got an open face lid. I've heard different stories from "they won't let you on the uplift if you haven't got a full face lid" to "they won't let you down the black runs without a full face lid"
Website simply says "2.You must ALWAYS wear a helmet. We also strongly advise you wear gloves and body armour. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HELMET YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE THE SERVICE."
Anyone know anything more?
as far as im aware, its just the black that you need full face, although id be suprised if they stopped uou as long as you are wearing ahelmet.
i have not been (yet) but a big group of friends went and they are all XC riders and most if not all of them were in normal helmets in all the pics i saw.
HTH jon
Just take what you would to a normal trail-day.
Enjoy!
Body armour and full facers compulsory for the black runs, no-one there to police it and you have signed a disclaimer so its up to you
Rode all the trails with a " normal " lid inc the tuff black , would probably take a full face next time , you will def fell under dress in that bus with all the full body armour downhill guys , great place , get there first thing the wind picks up through the day and becomes unridable / dangerous when very windy , very friendly / helpful guys run the place too . Will be booking my 4th visit in the spring when the weather improves .
Full face for black powder and the double black but they don't police it. No need for body armour.
