Wondering if anybody has fitted 1 1/8 forks to an Alloy Anthem X with a tapered headtube? Ive been doing a bit of research and ive found a couple of options, it looks like Hope do one for about £65 or i found this one on e-bay.

Questions : Would either or fit the Anthem X and they all seem to say suitable for downhill and freeride bikes - are they different to XC bikes in some way?
sorry for being a dumbass!! any advice would be fab

Have you bought a frame only? Mine came with a reducer to do just this (Sadly I've used mine of you could have it).

The one in your link won't work as it's external and you need internal, non-integrated.

What will work is the 2nd from bottom cup here (product code 269855)-

Combined with this crown race reducer-

If you're feeling brave you could just buy the reducer and run that with the headset that came with it and it'll save you 30 quid.
