This has been lurking in my mate's garage for a while and he's decided to sell it. I don't really know how much for and neither does he. Any idea?

It's a Privateer (I think). What size headtube has it got (some of the later ones had 1 & 1/8th iirc)?
1 1/8th, I think. I've not looked too closely at it. Condition isn't too bad although there's some chainslap/suck on the stay.

Privateers won't fetch as much as the "real" Santa Cruz Bontragers, but (let's face it) they ride pretty much the same. Plus, a larger headset size = decent choice of fork = more valuable!
Ask on retrobike too - plenty of Bonty fans on there.
is it a 19" by any chance?
My old 1" steerer fav is in need of some tlc
