I've asked a similar question before. What gearing have people used ss the Rough Ride? Did the long route 1x9 last year but attempting to ride ss this year. Currently 32x18 (29er). Thinking of droping to 32x20. Any(non-derogatory!)comments welcome.

I did it quite happily on a standard 32:16. Some of the climbs were walks with that though.
