Got the daily planet x email shot today and they are touting bbb 3w cree lights for a cheap price. They state that they are 1800 lux each. I have done some research but all I am getting is contradicting views. Basically all I want to to know is will they be bright enough as say they MTV batteries light? I'm only giving night riding a try as all mates a doing it and don't want to invest over £100.

you will get more light for your money elsewhere. Check all the various thrads onthis on here - dx / magic shine / smudge xml etc

I know the one you mean in Ebay and it looks seriously cheaply made and doesn't include the batteries or charger.
Anyone point me towards the dual XML head unit on ebay, that was posted on here t'other day (can't find the thread)... like the one that neninja is talking about but a t6 LED not a the new U2 version...
Just want to email the info a friend, whose on the look out for a cheap but powerful light.
