Wales have got some good trails, especially near Brecon and other parts of the south and there are the trail centres too...

Quantocks is always worth a visit too...

Another vote for Quantocks. Smiles per mile, best place I've ever ridden.

Just remembered Penmachno - bit further north in wales but great to practice some technique on and makes for a great ride - nice mixed feel of natural and man made ๐Ÿ™‚

tony - failing that i'm always up for a midweek trip to cwm/afan. I have days off during the week as you know.

You'd like Brechfa, it's right up your street, mix of old skool xc skills and some jumpier stuff.

Mike, being as I'm now "actively seeking employment" I'm free way too much of the time, so would be well up for it too... Facebook message or email me if you've got a plan!

Oh, and not ridden Brechfa myself, be well up for that sometime!

All the details you need...

... unless there aren;t any details you need, in which case ask ๐Ÿ™‚

(fingers crossed my shoulder recovers to let me lead the bloody ride, now!)

I second, third or whatever the peaks ride!

Peaks rules, except for Scotchtapeland, which rules more.

Actually, just come back from being guided around the more natural stuff around innerleithen. I am back up there at Crimbo, anyone fancy making a group Christmas or new year ride? Maybe a new years eve night riding thing?

Beefy - I think there could be two potential STW Scotland rides over Christmas, one down around Dumfries and the other oop north a bit more.

I second, third or whatever the peaks ride!

Then come to Marple. "The peaks" does not equate to the Hope Valley: Marple is on the edge of the Peak District National Park and the ride will cross into the park, touch on the Pennine Bridleway and all being well will feature the famous "shooting cabins" singletrack
