loved it today, even though the hummer is now proper ruined and in need of some jedi loving!
i was wondering about venues i have never been maybe? wales?
maybe trail center or au natural?
I'm thinking Dartmoor?
Come to scotlandia.
Wales have got some good trails, especially near Brecon and other parts of the south and there are the trail centres too...
Quantocks is always worth a visit too...
I'll second the Q's
Quantocks are poo
I would not bother ๐
hehe ๐
i havent ridden south wales for yonks. afan? cwm carn?
very easy to get to!!
tony, come for a trip up north
choice of pennines next week, pennines in december, and lakes in january..
you know it makes sense..;o)
Another vote for Quantocks. Smiles per mile, best place I've ever ridden.
what about a Aliegh guided ride in Swindon area ๐
ok I will get my coat
oi you - mr saladdodger! there's nothing to see in swindon that's for sure...apart from moi of course ๐
wales would be good - could your handle bars cope with that though? ๐
Aleigh and I could organise a guided ride/mince round Pompey!! ๐
Jedi - join us next Sunday the 8th. STWers ride, south Manchester, ( Marple, Roman lakes ride).
We have about 12 interested at the moment. Will do a roll call about Tuesday.
Saladdodger- PMSL - almost the funniest thing I've heard tonight! Swindon!
Aleigh and I could organise a guided ride/mince round Pompey!!
indeed we could - what a brilliant idea miss bumley!
Alternatively Afan, Brecon or Cwm carn I would be up for!
Then we should do Machynlleth, I love it!
i got coaching booking next weekend. need more notice ๐
How about something on the downs?
surrey hills?
Just remembered Penmachno - bit further north in wales but great to practice some technique on and makes for a great ride - nice mixed feel of natural and man made ๐
Tony, if I was to go to South Wales this time of year No1. on my list of where to ride would be Mynd Du for Au-natural(ish) manky DH

Not the Marlborough downs I hope
i'll second that!
tony - failing that i'm always up for a midweek trip to cwm/afan. I have days off during the week as you know.
You'd like Brechfa, it's right up your street, mix of old skool xc skills and some jumpier stuff.
midweek south wales meet?
come to the NW Alps before the the snows start
we should do snowdon rangers track just before the curfew kicks in next year
Bit of notice and I could make a midweek wales trip ๐
now we seem to have a ride forming
bushwacked, can you confirm your booking for the 9th nov
i could possibly do a midweek wales trip too, would need a bit of notice though.
Scotia is the only place worth riding. ๐
How about the Peaks for some real cold wet gritty winter action?

Mike, being as I'm now "actively seeking employment" I'm free way too much of the time, so would be well up for it too... Facebook message or email me if you've got a plan!
Oh, and not ridden Brechfa myself, be well up for that sometime!
9th is good for me if its still good for you.
jimmy, definitely up for a peaks one.
yeah, i got it booked/confirmed.cheers ๐
As i'm in wales midweek most weeks, I reckon I could squeeze in a cheeky session!!

... unless there aren;t any details you need, in which case ask ๐
(fingers crossed my shoulder recovers to let me lead the bloody ride, now!)
I second, third or whatever the peaks ride!
Peaks rules, except for Scotchtapeland, which rules more.
Actually, just come back from being guided around the more natural stuff around innerleithen. I am back up there at Crimbo, anyone fancy making a group Christmas or new year ride? Maybe a new years eve night riding thing?
you realise it's in Scotland and we'll all be pished!
Beefy - I think there could be two potential STW Scotland rides over Christmas, one down around Dumfries and the other oop north a bit more.

Then come to Marple. "The peaks" does not equate to the Hope Valley: Marple is on the edge of the Peak District National Park and the ride will cross into the park, touch on the Pennine Bridleway and all being well will feature the famous "shooting cabins" singletrack
