[#5130493]

Just had a call from home telling me my garage has been broken into & my 19" boardman comp has been stolen, they've moved the kids bikes out the way to get to it & got through a very secure door to get in, anyhow I'm by the NEC in Birmingham, the bike is white with formula RX brakes, Deore shifters, xt mechs, shimano XC pedals, wheels are from a cube, can't remember the make/model off the top of my head unfortunately, front forks are destickered & racing ralph white line tyres

If by any chance someone sees/hears of it please let me know, this is the 4th bike I've had stolen in 2 years & I'm at the point now of thinking why do I bother?

Thanks,

This is the 1st time from home, had 2 stolen out the car 18 months ago in betws y coed & another while visiting friends.

They've lifted the concrete lintel above the door, so the door can be lifted enough to crawl under to get into the garage,

they've also taken my daughters Carrera detonate, standard apart from DMR pedals & juicy 3 brakes.

Im not too far from there, will keep an eye out. Might be worth letting the lbs's know in the area in case it turns up for a service.

Thieving scum. I have started taking off the front wheel and the 15mm axle and keeping that in the house.

Just makes it difficult for them as they will need a wheel and axle before they can sell it on

Just an idea

not really as they'll most likely strip it down and sell it in bits...the only thing a missing front wheel will do is that it'll stop them from riding off on it unless they are really good at wheelying...
i had two massive abus granite locks on my bike so they wouldnt ride off on it...they still took it and again its probably been stripped down and shifted in bits...
