while fixing and fixed my brake problem which you guys have just sorted out for me , i noticed at the bottom of my forks there is knob of sorts with a sticker of a rabbit and a tortoise with rebound on it. having just googling it and having technical explanations about it, im still no the wiser. in noob terms what is it and where do i turn it to ( i kind of knocked it off while i was taking my wheel off !! i hope thats not bad.
Controls how fast your fork bounces back. Rabbit fast, tortoise slow.
Rebound. Turn towards the tortoise and the forks "bounce back" more slowly, turn towards the hare and they bounce back faster.
Have a play. Turn it all one way, ride off a kerb. Turn it all the other way, ride off a kerb.
Too fast and you lose control and chatter, too slow and you'll "pack down" over repeated bumps. Find what's right for you.
I leave mine neutral, which I imagine 99% of folk do.
bloody rabbit !! of course its a hare lol. i didnt figure even that out lol.
