We did another shot on a nice steep rock section, but there was tons of light pollution so didnt work out 🙁

Could you do an exposure of a few minutes and just pop the flash as the rider went past, to get a less dramatic (but not PSed) version of the shot? Not something I've ever really experimented with tbh.
I guess so yeah. But in a few minutes you'd get pretty much no star movement, so would just look like a generic shot of me riding down a path at night :/
Yeah wasn't suggesting that's what you should have done, just thinking out loud really - ignore me 🙂
