Sorry!

Just about to pull the trigger on some dual plys for an Alps backcountry trip.

Do I get a 60a or 42a super tacky for the front?

Cheers!

Personally i always use a 42a up front as i prefer the extra grip up front when pushing it in corners and just use a faster rolling 60a on the rear. Personally i think the drag is felt much more on the rear of a bike than the front and the extra grip up front is definately a good compromise.

I don't know many Maxxis trail riders that don't put a ST on the front and a MaxxPro on the rear.

Personally I use a sticky up front for when Im up in Wales.
Your not doing single track so on descents sticky be fine
even in the dry. Also gives you more confidence
You can also put a Minion front tyre on the rear for more speed.
Bang on info from stevede.

Got my dual ply 2.35 Minions today. They don't look any wider than my 2.1 kendas ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

What pressures do you recommend running them at?
