Well, after 2 and a bit years of service, my X01 mech shat itself on Saturday, nearly 4 miles from the visiter's centre at Llandegla! 🙁 Top jockey wheel completely disintergrated and just left the bearing in place, but it also ripped the bolt out of the inner cage. Rather than buy a whole new mech as the rest of it is fine, anyone know if a GX Eagle inner cage and jockey wheel kit will work with the X01 mech? Can't see why not be wanted to know if anyone knew for sure.
Was the jockey wheel looking OK before the ride?
I'll be honest I hadn't inspected it in a while, it's been so dry up here I've generally just ridden it and chucked back in my Duff Monster bike bag after a ride, but prior to Saturday it had been shifting fine all summer
I know an X01 cage & jockey works with a GX as Ive done that so can't see why the other way round wouldnt.

GX Eagle kit order, will report back if it works! Hope it comes with the new style of jockey wheel!
Had the same happen to my gx eagle mech, no quibble warranty job from SRAM, took about 3 weeks to turnaround.
Dropped it down my local shop who'd I'd bought it from and they dealt with SRAM. I don't believe SRAM will talk to customers directly on warranty returns.
Sadly mines about 6 weeks out of warranty, so not an option 🙁 should have the kit tomorrow though along with a new black X01 chain and cassette, have sent the chainring for warranty as it really shouldn’t have broken a tooth, gone back to the original 34t Eagle ring that was on the bike from new, going to feel weird after 6 months on an oval ring!

I'd give it a go, the latest 12 speed mechs arn't as durable as the 11 speed ones imo. The clutches wear out quicker and the bearings dont seem to last nearly as long.
My top X01 jockey wheel seized solid not long ago, 3 years old so never considered warranty. Luckily it was spotted before any damage done.
I got some aftermarket jockey wheels in there pretty quick as she's been good as gold ever since. Can't think where I got them from though. Will report back if I do.
Found it! Absolute Black to 12 tooth NW after market jockeys. They have served me well so far.
Well, it seemingly works! Just need to fit the new cassette I ordered as the chain was borked, but the GX Eagle Cage/Jockey wheels seems to work fine with the X01 mech. Got the newer style of jockey wheels too so hopefully all will be well with the world again now!
