What does yours do?
Mine:
- has never done any cleaning (other than his washing up) in 10 months
- soaks the bathroom with every shower he has (and doesn't mop it up)
- thinks a bath mat will dry if you drape it over the wet wide of the bath (nothing dries in our bathroom anyway)
- hasn't contributed anything to the flat
- insists on washing up with cold water
moans on STW rather than having it out wuth the annoying git ๐
Moves things around the house
Never puts things back where they belong
Leaves piles of fluff from the dryer on the draining board
Leaves tissues in trouser pockets before putting in the wash
Has sex with me.
But then we are married ๐
Did my washing up for me. Cleaned the cooker and wiped the kitchen surfaces. Tidied up (maybe a little bit annoying as it was verging on OCD). This was on top of what our housekeeper did!!! And she bought nice loo roll. What a nightmare ๐
My only real annoyance was one guy who played his music loud. I mean turn it up to eleven LOUD. And it wasn't even good music.

Done that, with little impact.

Sounds like mine has a twin!
so wait john... your keeping someone in the house who annoys the **** out of you and doesn't give you any money right??
One of mine washes up in cold water without washing up liquid and claims it works just as well! I've just started an experiment where I do nothing apart from clear my own mess and I just put his unclean washing up back in the sink - interested to see how it goes!
- moans that i spend too much time and money on my bike
- cleans everything over and over again
- looks after my (our) child
- moves things from where i left them to where they're "supposed" to be
- borrows my credit card regularly
sounds like a fair deal i suppose
I used to pile my ex-housemate's filthy dishes etc on one side to see if he would take the hint and wash up.
When he didn't i piled it up under his duvet!
I used to make sure I lived with normal people.
I'm actually looking for a house mate!
Anyone know of someone who'd like to share an MTB friendly house in Horwich?
๐
My Housemate;
-Clumps about loudly in the room above late into the night.
-Cleans obsessively and angrilly even when you're trying to eat, and even if it's just been cleaned by someone else.
-Acts as if he owns the house (he doesn't)
-Scares away potential housemates (3 months now..)
- Is much better after he's had a smoke, but then extremely tetchy the next morning.
- locks all the doors at night.
- Really really needs a shag...
i can top that
rather attractive crazy spanish nurse lived with us once....
after a miscalculated sexual advance from one of my other housemates
threatened to get some aids infected blood from the hospital and put it in his food
also tried to climb into my bed with me while i was on the phone to my missus, try explaining that one!!!!
Not annoying habits:
- feeding me
- cleaning up after me
- wearing few bits of skimpy clothing
- sleeping with me
(We were married)
Annoying habits:
- sleeping with a few others too
(Then we split up)
so wait john... your keeping someone in the house who annoys the **** out of you and doesn't give you any money right??
No. Not my flat (rented - 50% each). He hasn't contributed in that he's not added anything to the limited inventory the flat came with. I don't think he appreciates how much stuff is mine. He's in for a shock when i move out before him! (less than a month woohoo!)
Actually, this post is kinda putting me off getting a house mate. Maybe I should just be skint instead?
Exroadie-it's worth it trust me.
My ex housemate was a lazy ****er, no cleaning, always late with bills and never paid the internet and nearly got me done by tv licence by not paying his.
I kicked him out. Yes it's tough but for the peace it's priceless.
