Anyone use these? I was looking at the Burgtech ones but seem quite expensive for what they are. Also headset v. offset bushings, any thoughts?

thanks

Both do the same thing, slacken head angle, drop the BB a little and steepen the seat angle. But something the offset bushings do that the angle set won't, is shorten you 121 of the shock, which may interfere with the suspension design. Which is why I am holding off the offset bushings and waiting for Works components to sort out a compatible headset for my frame.

I have an angled headset from the second link, the guy's in isreal and is very easy to deal with. the cups are extremely well made. they are more expensive than works but offer a greater amount of adjustment.

btw, offset bushes slacken the seatube, not steepen.

I emailed the guy in Israel and he thought twice about making a headset for a Mojo as the headset bearings sit straight into the frame. Works Components are tinkering with some carbon Titus frames that do the same to see if they can work a solution.

And yup, you're right on slackening the seat angle 🙂

I put one of the Works Components headsets in my 2008 5 Spot and it made quite a difference. Not so slack as to affect how it pedalled and climbed but a little slacker so it made it a bit more stable going down hill. IME it certainly made a positive difference.

It just so happens (shameless plug!) that I've split and sold the 5 spot and now have the headset for sale - email in profile if you're interested 😉

Its a set 2 that I've got bought in September. Does £50 sound like a fair price?

HI Crag - sorry not been back to this but £40 is thae max I'd want to spend on a 2nd hand HS and that assumes that its in good nick with good smooth bearings.

If youve notr already sold it on, give me a shout - thanks
