Turner Rail.
I loved it - but there were/are many haters.

Ugly bikes?

There's a big pile of them here.

Some say this is ugly, but I love it and think it has a certain beauty ๐Ÿ˜€

This on the other hand is definitely ugly, but cool nonetheless:

And this is not the most attractive of bikes, but was great fun to ride (once I'd moved away from the alfine/hammerschmidt combo!)

Best thread in ages )

Rode great, looked awkward and embarrassed for itself. Coyly hiding it's 50mm of spacers.. I liked like a pet dog with a case of mange.

Flashes - that frame and fork with different kit on it would be one of the prettiest bikes around? In fact I'd make you an offer but it looks safely a bit too small for me...

Stoner - I think that works, it has potential ugly duckling quality.

Nicola however, well it's not good is it? : )

so why the zimmer-frame holding it up?

it's a tuning fork of niche, once the vibrations get to a specific level of beardie (approximately 0.88 of a Jeff or an B flat minor if you tune by ear) the bike transforms into the most awsomist riding machine ever and eats gnarcorists for breakfast.

: ) Niche expressed in units of Jeff.. like the roadie's unit of hardness, the Jens. A diamond is somewhere around 0.6 Jens.

Imagine if you could reach a full 1.0 JeffJens.. Could you ride Iditarod in your pants on ss half-fat monstercross bike?

It took a while, but a Karpiel appeared in the end! And not just any old Karpiel, but a Bender Special with the BB a good 20"+ off the ground...

JohnB, with your layback Thomson run the wrong way round on your Maverick, you are my new Hero!!! In fact, if anyone out there wants to swap their 30.9 layback for my 30.9 inline, then I may well join you in the fashion revolution shortly! ๐Ÿ˜†

Hmmm... whatever that is wrapped round the seattube of the Solitude hides the monumental ugliness that is the seatstay / seattube junction!
