I always thought Competitive cyclist was a good online store in the USA, they have a lot of nice things first and their product write ups are always interesting, but really can't image CRC ever selling these?
Bloody hell...
We think guns are perfectly fine things to own. We shoot them periodically. We wish there were a form of biathlon that incorporated bikes instead of skis. But taking a gun on a bike ride just doesn't make sense. Foremost, they're heavy. It makes no sense to carry a 4lb weapon when you're astride a 15lb bike. Secondly, they're potentially dangerous to carry (read: Plaxico Burress). Thirdly, while we're comfortable with the idea of pointing a gun at an unwelcome human inside our home, it's tough to envision an uncomplicated outcome when you point a gun at an asshole at an intersection. So, in short, packing heat on a ride is unadvisable.
Reasons why carrying guns are bad. Firstly they're heavy. Secondly they kill people.
Changing my mind about wanting to go to the US now.
Interesting product.
Probably illegal here, more's the pity.

Not uncommon for riders over there to carry them in the back country.

If you are close enough to a bear to use it, the LAST thing you want to do is make it even more angry.

- bedside gun rack![/url]
Some buy one for each side of the bed!
Looks like a decent compromise. I've likewise no problem with guns particularly. But guns and road rage are a silly combination in a way that guns and home defence are not.
seems like a good product to me, and if it was legal over here I would definitely be tempted to get one if I was going somewhere, where I could come across dangerous animals.
I like that gun rack for the bed, I will have to persuade SWMBO to swap our bed for a double bunkbed that way I can hang my bike from the gunrack...perfect storage solution.
