I'm testing a pair at the moment for the mag.

Initial review - light, stiff, UBER wide footprint.

I'll be buying a pair after I give them back.

what tyres you running and size?
does the wide rim really increase tyre volume?

Geax 2.2 on the front, Geak AKA 2.0 on the back - yes it increases the footprint and volumne.

I've also used them with Kenda Honey Badger (hold carp it was HUGE for a 2.20) and some Schwalbe RRalphs - mih, I don't like them anyway.

All tubeless.

No idea about the rims...but find the rear hubs slow to engage on my all mountains. Otherwise really hard durable and low weight so assume the same for the lightenings. Running two sets on HT & FS.

That's the criticism I heard - hubs very slow to engage?

Not a problem I've noticed on mine. Not their wheelset, just the 225 hub.

Yep just the 225 thats a small issue...otherwise spot on. Also got my sets for the same price as Arch ex's... So very happy. Graphics are a bit marmite and a PITA to remove with marigolds and tons of acetone! Piece of piss to inflate using their brilliant tubeless valves...easily the best I've come across. Unfortunately they only appear to come in red?!

Nope, I don't get paid by the company to review them. Sometimes I don't even get paid, just do it out of interest!

Get ready to buy a new freehub every couple of years unless they've changed the design?

^^^Really? The steel inserts have done exceptionally well in the two years I've had on one set with an XT cassette. Its still going very strong compared to a previous Hope for example.

It was more the rims, as I already own some hubs with crest rims on my rigid 29er, that's why purchasing the wheels as I have really liked the hubs

Just got them look really nice and rims are WIDE!
Put a spesh 2.1 ground control on front huge measures 58mm (normally 52MM)also dia is 15mm more, so the wide rims do what they say, really happy
