We are going to stay there on a stag do. But before hand a few of us are planning a ride the day before.
Could anyone advise a good route, map to follow or download

Possibly some where near Ambleside if not

Thanks

Did this last weekend

Good fun and cracking views. Loughrigg descent was busy and apparently quite sanitised but overall, a good ride

Hehehe - first time there and I was following, not leading

It was hard work tho, and given the state of Loughrigg Terrace, I'd be happy doing it the other way round

First descent was ace tho

Short option -

Head up past holbeck ghyll to troutbeck, up and down garburn to kentmere, left at long houses and over staveley head fell, then over to high Borrans, troutbeck and finish down Jenkins crag.

Wee bitty longer -

Park at bottom of Dubbs road, up garburn to the top and keep heading north over the various tops, which will eventually lead to nan bield. If ye have the legs left, do staveley head fell, and back to car.

Both very good wee rides.
