As long as there's no curry there...
Cider + curry + DrP = not so good....

Sounds awesome. You won't die. So take in the weather and smile and laugh with friends. Wish I had a bivvy adventure partner. It's not so fun alone... ๐Ÿ˜€

Agree with the Whiskey. Warm the cockles and all that.

Sounds like it'll be ace! I'm looking forward to more Bivvy adventures next year! Worst thing with cider/beer is needing a pee half way through the night!

Also interested in how you're cooking the meat. I have a honeystove that would probably do a nice job of it with a bit of wood burning.

Ha! Good effort. Hoped it was going to be a progress report... ๐Ÿ™‚

After a glorious, icy / snowy ride under the full moon last night, it's howling & raining here again, so I'm quite satisfied with my roof / king size bed / thick duvet combo, but do still see the attraction of your night out. I think.

Sleep well (and chapeau!)

Just left them to it, fire is huge and roaring and it's actually pretty warm out there tonight. Will see how they fair if the forecast rain comes in.

DrP overthinking bivvying since 2013... ๐Ÿ˜‰

The occupier of this shambles will be the first to notice the rain..

The fire warden has left his role, hence the fire pit is now all on fire...
Chili roulette has been won and lost, and the steak and Camembert went down a treat!
Still dry as a bone.....

'ello.....!

Back home safe and sound!!
The most miserable part of the trip was the ride home!

Beautiful evening, and didn't start pouring down 'till about 3am ish?
Regardless, were safe and dry under the tarp ๐Ÿ™‚

Tea was fantastic!
The steak was cooked to perfection, with a nice Camembert sauce!
