[Closed] Aluminium cassettes

I'm about to buy an MS8 cassette (all steel) because the aluminium cog on my current XT cassette is showing significantly more wear than the steel rings, and will ultimately determine when I have to ditch the cassette.

Got me thinking, though - a few years ago in a Chinese bike shop I found an all-aluminium cassette machined out of one piece of aluminium. It was amazingly, hand-deceives-the-eye light when you picked it up.

I didn't buy it because I doubted it'd be durable enough, but has anyone ever ridden such a cassette? How did it last? How was the shifting?
