Want to know how durable they are - are they spash/waterproof?

Did 100 miles on the road (on an MTB of course) last Friday in all that torrential rain and they were great.
I am 6 foot (just) and the large come right down to my kneecap while standing - so definitely long compared to another pair of alturas that I have.
Think boardshort and you have the cut of them - no elastication in the waist - just springy velcro adjustment straps
I was only slightly damp after many hours and I think most of that made it way up the legs rather than the shorts leaking.

are your shorts or 3/4s?

the 3/4 must be huge
or I should have got mediums - but there is no stretch in the waistband so I think they would have been tight.
I have a pair and they are really good. i find the cut better than my Endura shorts and the waterproof/ resistant panel works really well.
