Hi all,

Looks like it might be wise to retire the ebay special lights.

Looking for a front light for predominantly road and gravel use, and maybe a little bit of MTB use.

Switchable from narrow/square topped road beam and flood light MTB beam would be nice.

Stuff like battery bank feature, remote etc is all nice too, but not crucial. Will be used for bikepacking so longer battery life the better.

Don't want to spend much more than £50. Anything better than the PR1200 at £60?

Thanks,
Duane.

I don't know about alternatives, but I have been using the Ravemen 1200 for the last couple of years. I have been really impressed with it and would recommend it.

I recently ordered the PR1600 from CRC and added a Moon Comet X rear light to the order. That made it eligible for their voucher (CLEAR2022), another tenner off the order.

A mate has just got a Lezyne 1300 which I think was £60ish, but not got the road beam aspect. Decent light for the money

I have a PR1200 too and I too think it’s great. Let down a bit by the bracket.

Another satisfied PR1200 owner here. I'd go for another if I needed a light tomorrow.
