Can anyone recommend any alternatives?
The list my frame but no in the size I have. I've contacted them but got no reply. Don't really want to go down the heli-tape DIY route.

I mean this half-serious. Wax and wax your frame. I gave up with that sort of stuff a while back. Waxing won't protect like a bit of plastic but it's the next best for keeping the frame tip-top.

It certainly stops mud clinging and lots of scratches forming. And you have a better finish in my opinion. No muck getting under the stickers.

Trouble is for me I have 2 matt frames so it doesn't work. But it works fine on frames with a clear-coat.

Buy a standard kit from them and modify
.. easy enough to do

Red Ant do a matt carbon protector. It's decent, use it on my road bike. However, on the MTB I need a bit more protection. Yeti paint is renowned for chipping, I'd like to cut that to a minimum if I can.

They're usually very good at replying, maybe give it another try if you're in a position to get your frame to them?

Alternatives to Invisiframe?
I'd say put some frame protection patches on the areas where cables/bike carrier clamps may rub and just go ride it 🙂

As mentioned above they are usually ace at replying. I emailed and left my number and got a call 10 minutes later. If they don't have your size I'm fairly sure they'd be interested in having your frame in to make a kit to fit.

If not try shack wrap, Nick seems to be highly reccomended

Plus a strip underside of the downtube. Job done.

Yes it's DIY, but Invisiframe etc is arguably OTT. Majority of the stuff is not going to get a scratch on it. Just protect the bits that count.

Or don't give a crap and ride it anyway. It will look like crap in no time with mud anyway and then it just looks proper used 😀

I emailed them again and got a pretty prompt reply. First email must have got lost in the interweb.

I hate the DIY approach, just looks crap and it peels off after a couple of week. My last invisiframe kit lasted ages, and the frame was as good as new in the end.

Helicopter tape and a bit of faffing to cut bits to the right size.

If you use good quality tape it won't peel off. All my bikes have it applied to the head tube and forks where the cables will rub and the downtube where it gets held by the roof rack.

£10 worth of 3M helicopter tape did three bikes

If you do it badly, yes. Helicopter tape (roughly same stuff as Invisiframe etc use), cut accurately, dip in water, apply slowly, carefully and use a hairdryer. Done right that won't peel off and you can barely see it (on my bike anyway).

Depends if you want it covering the whole bike cut to shape, or if you're just protecting one area. Downtube for example only needs a rectangular shape underneath, and that plus cable rub areas are really all you need protecting anyway.

Decided last night to replace the helitape patch on the downtube of my Soul, where it goes in the clamps of a Thule 591. It was a little worn and scuffed, with one wee patch rubbing through, no discolouring. Bike comes home dirty on roof once or twice a week, half hour trip each way most weeks and tape had been on since bike was new, May 13...

I can highly recommend [url=

Wrap[/url]. They've done a couple of bikes for me, can also supply coloured decals, etc.
