Has anyone taken their mtb to the alps on the eurostar & was it good or a PITA?

There was a thing in the CTC mag earlier this year, it might be worth a look?

Have thought about it for the last few times I've gone over. Maybe next time? Do give us a write up if you end up making the trip.

Been talked about on here a few times. Seems to be a PITA and more expensive than jumping on a plane for a couple of hours.

Good advice JHW. I've done the trip here (Spain / Basque Country) from the north of Scotland and put some advice on my website. It's not the alps but the travel advice is similar. I found it enjoyable, the only thing is it took 24hrs but the way I looked at it it would take all day to fly anyway by the time you get to the airport etc. I don't like flying but I do like looking at scenery, drinking wine and reading books so it was perfect for me.
