SB66c with standard XT build (except I have dropped down to 1x10 with a 30t Widgit chainring), 160 34 Floats, DT Swiss Wheelset and 150mm Lev, not weighed it but guessing it comes in around 28lb.
Struggling to get around using 1x10 having previously 'enjoyed' 2x10 but persevering until X01 comes out.
Most awesome bike ever - fact!

Not a chance. Your tyres don't even match! 😛

Was looking at this in Leisure Lakes and it's an absolute stunner. Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch that far so looking at the alloy version instead.
Yeti SB66 - Fox 36 floats, XTR bits, king hubs on 819's and Thomson dropper. Rides very well in the Alps, Lakes and Wales.

Your spending too much time on here!
Your probably right.
Just had a quick google and apparently Specialized recommend the 550 spring for upto about 20kg over my weight but a load of yanks on mtbr say that the 600 is more realistic for my weight.
Maybe my 600 is spot on and my damping is a bit too slow.
My bike gets to go "home" tommorrow:

In 160mm travel format, with DBair shocker/ RLC fork, and Super Gravity flavoured HDs it's 28lb.
You'd hope that'll work quite well in the Alps ;-
Another nomad 🙂

Listen, stop that ^^^^ kind if thing will you!
These AM bikes are NOT for riding! (They are for polishing and showing off, if you ride them, especially with that sort of ridiculous flying stunt stuff, you might scratch the perfect paint........ 😉

that SB66 looks so damn good! How much did it set you back?

I'm resisting the urge to be pedantic...
Mick taking aside, what does the TFT spring calculator reckon? What % sag are you running at the mo?
Too right max...these bikes are for looking at and patting yourself on the back whilst think of the gnar lines you'll hit on the one sunny, dry day! 😀

Scott Genius LT 20 Carbon, pretty much standard
Brakes upgraded to Hope Evo Race
Hope bashring
Bionicon Chain Tensioner (like the old DCD)
8 weeks and I will be there again!
Probably weighs about 14.5Kg, not the quickest uphill, but it's great on the downs. 180mm of travel is more than enough for me.
I wish mine still looked like that picture i posted, nearly a seasons racing has taken its toll & it's starting to look a bit doggy.
3 weeks in the Alps from next weekend too, including the Mega & Mountain of Hell, it's going to come back looking very sorry for itself 🙁

Release the inner pedant, I thought thats why we all come on here?
TF say around 600. I'm not 100% sure on the sag its hard to tell on a coil.
There is also talk that a titanium spring wont fit on an Evo because the diameter is too large and rubs on the bottom of the top tube.
Mine only looks (to my eyes) nice in my pic because that was taken the day that I finished building it up. It's already got its first battle sat from me taking a stupidine through some rocks at too higher speed and getting bounced about and the none drive side chainstay took the imoact.
My SX was pretty well used and had more than its fair share if bumps and scraps. I may not be the raddest rider but my bikes do get used (and crashed).

My Heckler has just earned its stripes in Morzine/Les Gets last weekend!!
The Marz55 160's and offset bushings really slackened it out nicely.
At one point on a 50k AM loop I was really wishing Mindmap3 hadn't talked me into a single ring on the front!!!!
May not be All Mountain, but she's certainly All Woman.

Dijon?
(Actually, went riding in Morvan region last year, near Dijon and Lapierre. Worth checking out if you're in the area)
Currently 32.5lb, have couple of things to replace before heading off to Spain in three weeks http://switch-backs.com/bubion/
My do anything, go anywhere bike. Now gone 1x10 with clutch mech. Just brilliant.

Dango
That looks great, whats the build on it to get it that light?
Have you looked into getting a Ti spring at all?

The result of two years tinkering with different spec options and it currently comes in at 32.4 lb.
Find the 1 x 10 OK round the Surrey hills but will be going 2 x 10 again for Trans Savoie 🙂
twelveski
What spring is that? I read on MTBR that Ti springs are bigger so rub on the top tube under compression. How have you found it compared to a steel spring on there?
mindmap is [s]slowly[/s] aggressively talking me round to putting a Ti on mine.
3rd page and no Fives yet? What's going on STW?

Nothing too exciting; 1x10, wide bars, short stem, 150mm forks.
Rad as you like.
Don't know the make of the spring, but it's the same kind of size as most other springs I have come across. The standard Evo kit comes with a shorter spring to avoid any chance of rubbing, like the one on Dango's, but I have done a few rides now and checked the frame by removing the shock & nothings rubbing. I have got a couple of extra turns of pre-load than I would normally run though, otherwise the spring collar would fould the frame. I have never been able to tell the difference performance wise between Ti & Steel springs, I have used it just for the weight difference.

I will acknowledge that the mudguards look shit.
Thanks twelveski, I guess as mine is a large it has even less chance of rubbing than yours.
What length is it 2.5? Did you go for a lighter spring to account for the extra preload? I guess you can put a couple more turns of preload on as the spring has more free length.
I'll be buying a ti spring shortly, the forks are 55rc3evo ti's, the rest is all fairly middle of the road kit

I really couldn't tell you, it was a package bike which was about £4k I think, then I juiced it up a bit but I only pay trade so have no idea. It is very nice though.

.63lb saving there
Dangoo - weighing components is a slippery slope! Been there....although it is very effective. I shed loads of weight off my SX when I realised how heavy some of the components were. My Diabolus cranks and A frame pedals weight more than my house.
I_Ache - you know that you need I to spring, don't blame me! On a serious note, if you need to shed some weight it should make a difference. That spring in there will weight loads; the dinky springs I have left over from the Van R in my old stinky weigh enough so his knows what that thing weighs.
With regards to measuring sag, you''ll need to get your missus to get the tape measure out whilst you mount... 😉 the bike!

Dan, you know it makes sense. Don't blame me for your weedy legs! It looks good though, how slack is it now with the offest bushes?
Some lovely looking bikes in this thread. Here's mine, last time I weighed it it came out at 30.2lb
Titus El Guapo V3

Dango I thought my cranks were heavier than that tbh. But swapping them for slx and putting a Ti spring on will save over 1lb.
Mindmap the thing is I don't know where else I can/would want to save weight without spending loads or compromising the bike. If I had loads of money I would go for some carbon rims. But then it I had loads of money I would buy a Stumpy Evo carbon and a DH bike.
MDE Bikes Carve 6 frame with custom geometry
Shaman Racing Drake chain guide
Shaman Racing 34t chainring
ODI bars, stem and grips
SRAM X0 Type 2 mech and X0 shifter
Avid X0 Trail brakes
Mavic Crossmax SX wheels
BOS Deville fork and BOS Vip'r shock
Maxxis tyres (changed regularly)
Rockguardz down tube protector and Mudguardz

Ti spring should be a good saving over the steel one, the cranks will yeild a pretty good one too depending on what you go for.
What about pedals? I know you've got Straitline ones which are lovely but I've no idea what they weigh. My Nano's are 200g lighter than the A frames they replaced, which is quite a lot.
Other than that you're into the realm of marginal (expensive) gains I guess. Carbon bar? Posher cassette? Tubeless? The Charge saddle is quite heavy but lighter saddles ain't cheap and some are like torture devices.
I know I've only had a quick pedal on it, but it seems to ride quite lightly (if that makes any sense at all).
