Sinister Simonbar, Chumba HX2 or Banshee Paradox? Anyone out there had any experience with any of these? I used to be a 29er nay sayer, but after riding one or two I really like them (and I'm only 5'9"). I know that Chumba have a UK dealer but seem to be out of the small at the moment. So opinions please, even if you haven't ridden one, hate 29ers, and just want to rant; get it off your chest.

Bonesetter off of err has a Paradox and Ton has a Chumba so might be worth doing a search of both members posts for feedback. I also know that Bonesetter has done a thread on MTBR about his Paradox which is rather good.

If its any help i hope to get a Paradox sometime in the next 12 months so i don't have to murder my Swift if i get to go to somewhere steep and big in the near future. The reason for my decision to get one rather than the other is that i live 20 miles from Freeborn in Horsham who are the importers plus its supposed to be a less harsh ride.

Don't know if that really helps you any but you said to get it off my chest ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looking at the geo of all three it looks like the small Chumba would be the best fit, but not so keen on the ebb.I like the look of the Banshee, the medium should fit but what are Freeborn like to deal with? Sinister in medium looks good, but a bit long and I don't know what the s/t length is; it is a FTW build so must be good?

My Paradox should be here next week (fingers crossed). Have a look at the Canfield Nimble 9 too.

I'll be able to tell you what I think of the Paradox when mine arrives next week.

Or the week after.

Or the week after that....

Turner Sultan? The 29er version of the 5 Spot, which seems to fit the AM bracket. Although, If I were 5'9" I'd be riding a 26er - and I don't own any 26" bikes any more.

my inbred is an all mtn. bike.....built up tuff including a boat anchor rear wheel on a kris holm rim w/ a solid axle/tracknut xt hub....

been smacking on it a plenty in the scottish borders....i weigh 200+ and ain't been able to appreciably hurt it.....

yeah, it's got a 72 deg. H.t., but whatevs.....

feels so good that i'm planning on taking it when i visit one of me bruddas in nelson, b.c. next summer.

he rides a nomad (and 6inch double squish seems the avg. there) and thinks i'm nuts.

time will tell.
