A thought occurred to me yesterday.I have 3 bikes, one of them, my Fritzz, needed the shock bushings changing. Now i wont be using it for a few weeks, but the thought nagged and nagged that it wasnt in 'working' order....so i had to get it fixed, despite my other 2 bikes in perfectly usable nick. I also suffer this with the other bikes, i cant leave them in a non-working state. Am i alone in this or do others suffer the same?

This time last year I had four bikes and at any one time only two would actually be up and running. I came to the decision to sell two and concentrate on keeping both in top order. So far, so good ๐Ÿ™‚

I do agree, if anything is amiss on my bike I have to fix/rectify it ASAP as I never know when an opportunity will arise to get out on my bike!

Nah all 3 of my bikes have maintenance issues, and are still dirty. I'm a lazy little focker but its pointless riding around with camelbak full of tools and spares and not using them!

Religous mantainace here! Strip whole bike to frame if it gets to dirty just to clean it well. Stops things fron seizing and reduces wear on components, plus I enjoy it ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a number of bikes and its a headache just keeping them ll running. Seem to be contsantly buying chains, cassettes, brake pads, cables etc.

May look at reducing number of bikes as a result.

I used to be almost OCD in by obsession for fettling. Lack of time now means I've let things slip. Currently have two bikes in working order. One in bits.

I'm highly disorganised at home, and since I give so much energy to work, I am always knackered and forever put off maintenance. I've been riding with a dodgy rumble rumble hope bearing in my bottom bracket for 3 months, yet I have two sets of bearings in a box. Somewhere.

3 bikes. Two working, but I am not on top of my condition monitoring..

"Nah all 3 of my bikes have maintenance issues, and are still dirty"
+1

Well, the 3 I use/aren't in storage
All dirty, all still on the same tyres they've had on since spring (ie balding or semi-slick), though unusually for me, none have anything stopping them being ridden maintenence-wise. Just niggles, and lots of them

Need to get the mud spikes on I think

It's only in the last few days that any of mine have been working! Or at least, working to my satisfaction. Roadie SS split a rim about 3 weeks ago so I had to wait for the rims to come into stock, rebuild then wait another week for the shop to get the right tyres in. That's all sorted and fully working now.

The CX was running on the very last mm of brake pad and the front hub bearings were knackered as well. Rideable but the brake issue was worrying. That's all fixed now.

Front hub bearings on the good road bike are also in need of replacement but that can wait a while, that bike won't be going anywhere in this weather!

The MTB has a slightly rattly BB although it's still just about rideable.
The track bike works perfectly but opportunities for riding that are much more limited...

I hate bikes sometimes, everything has come all at once and it's cost a fortune to put it all right. ๐Ÿ™

Come round to mine, don't think any of mine work just now. And it's cold in the garage.

I have 7 full bikes. One is in bits but only while it's being powder coated. One needs it's brakes sorting out.
The rest are completely rideable. ๐Ÿ˜‰

As long as one of mine is good to go I'm not fussed.
