Yes I am, but not really!

I'm running one in my DMR frame which comes as 142x12, but it has swopout dropouts so I can use horizontal dropouts instead of the standard 142x12.

With fixed dropouts I'd envisage a couple of issues...
- How would you fit the anti-turn washers?
- Axle diameter is 10mm, so you'd need to increase that.
- How would you get the axle through the 142x12 dropout holes, as it's a solid, fixed axle?

YOu might be able to do it with some clever machining of spacers but I very much doubt it

Surely the 142x12mm will be through-axle anyway, so in that case there’s no way that you could use an Alfine hub, regardless of width. As was said above by ajantom, how would you get it in there?

Could probably cut the axle quite short (10mm each end?) and then flex the frame open a little to get it in. Then some kind of machined tube nut and bushes. Even if that did somehow work, still the problem of anti turn washers and chain tensioning.

Generally sounds like a bad idea.....
