Does anyone know how often they have the cycling specials? I don't want to miss out on the camo shorts again.

Why don't you surf over onto their respective websites and add yourself to their email list. They will email you their special offers every week in advance so you won't miss the cycling kit again.

GIantjaunt, what size do you need? Our branch had some in when I was last there, I'd be happy to see I'd they have yours in and forward them on to you.

The Lidl stuff is fine .I cant comment on Aldi kit as none of it is made in a large enough size for me.

If you go to the Aldi site you can set up an e-mail notification for the special offer alerts. They have new special offers on Sundays and Thursdays. It's a great way to find out when the stuff will land. You can do the same at Lidl as they do cycle gear too (and most everything else that Aldi do).

snowboarding stuff in now; jackets and thermals. i am sure they will have some uses; gloves look excellent.

remember their stuff is made in the same factory as endura

I think it's only twice a year. Summer stuff is on sale in May and winter stuff about September/October. Which makes me wonder where that stuff is sold elsewhere other than at those times.

I've had most of the aldi stuff at some point, I get through a lot of it using it for commuting

the winter bibs are great, the winter gloves are a winner, the socks you can't fail with and lycra shorts are good for most things with the exception of really long road rides, the softshell jackets are ok

the rest of it I wouldn't recommend, the summer gloves are nasty and the tops are a funny shape. I have a pair of the shoes and they are passable but the waterproofs are real boil in the bag jobs, the 3/4 length shorts aren't that good because the liners were horrid so you'd be as well getting cheap baggies from matalan or similar and then using bibs or cycling pants

i love endura gear and have brought stuff from the mid 1990's onwards, the bib shorts really were the best.

however, sewing up a pair of endura lycra shorts and a pair of aldis they were identical in construction, stitching etc. made in the far east or does endura make stuff for aldi?

aldi stuff is good, and cheap, yet lacks the detail and thoughtful bits of endura; vents, extra pockets. it does suffer from a bit of euro trash styling that may appeal to some

the black snowboard jackets look good though!

Thanks! I'm about 34" waist if they've got any left.

I've got a pair of the winter gloves too and they're great and some of the padded shreddies but not tried the other stuff.
