can i travel by air with my tubeless set up (normal rims/tyres with a dose of stans)without deflating and re-faffing to set up when i arrive?

You are meant to deflate the tyres, did this for Canada with no problems, the tyres should stay seated while deflated, just take the bike to a petrol station when you get there and reseat the tyres if thats what they need...
