Simply put has anyone used Rouge to fly to Toronto or Vancouver , if so thoughts ?
Thanks
Flew from Manchester to Montreal via Toronto with Air Canada. The Manchester to Toronto leg of the journey was on an Air Rouge flight. There was a three hour delay and a few people got bumped off the flight. Not a good start. The delay was caused by the fact that the plane had just been purchased from some Kenyan airline and wasn't fully configured. There was no entertainment system on the plane and I couldn't plug my laptop in to watch films on there because the plane had no sockets.
Overall it wasn't a great experience, but as a seasoned traveller I wasn't particularly phased. Long haul Easyjet is what I've seen Air Rouge described as. On arrival in Toronto, the Air Canada staff did a great job of getting us on another flight to Montreal (we missed out original connection) so we didn't miss the opening evening of the conference we were attending.
The flight back was a redeye flight and I slept the whole way, so no problems there.
From what I remember the cost of the flight was the same as if I'd have gone on "proper" Air Canada from Heathrow.
Thats it , do I travel to Heathrow or just stick if from 15 minutes from home.
I read that tall chaps like myself may find some discomfort with the seating but for a £1200 saving i might just nutt up and shut up
What about using Air Transat? Does it fly out of wherever you want to depart from?
Transat could be a good shout. My brother used them numerous times from Manchester to Toronto when he was working out there and said he had no complaints.
The wifes just looking at Trasat at the moment works out around 200 more but the all important two extra inches 🙂
