Was out riding on Leckhampton Hill (near Cheltenham) on Saturday afternoon and saw the air ambulance. They were collecting a lad who I assume was an MTB'er. He was on a stretcher when I passed and I did not stop to gawk. The ambulance flew over me on the way to Cheltenham General about 10 minutes later when I had descended the hill.

Hope the lad is ok - I thought it was worth highlighting the great service the air ambulance provides. If you ride regularly in the area they cover then please consider a donation - you never know when you may need their help.

Healing vibes! Hope the guy is OK.

Been a while since I heard of the Air Ambulance being called out to Lecky.

Also saw the same incident whilst walking the Dog, at about 4/4.30.

We did stop and gawk as the Helicopter was preparing to take off. Judging by the fairly relaxed atmosphere and lack of urgency amongst the paramedics, I don't think the injury was too serious.
Although the patient was on gas, poss for pain relief, and he was flown to hospital, so probably slightly more than a sprain...

Get well soon...
