I have XT m770 chainset. Outer ring is seriously worn. Will most aftermarket chainrings (i.e. Middleburn) fit as long as they have same bolt diameter. Read somewhere that bolts that are with the chainset may not work, is this correct?

mate, i will be taking a barely used m770 outer off my swift in a day or 2.
