I think I need a new big ring. I've seen the various options from shimano, TA and the others. I also noticed the absoluteblack ones. I'm not sure about the idea of oval but I did like the look of them.

So, does anyone make chainrings that look a bit ncer than the standard ones? Needs to fit the 4 bolt shimano "std" and not cost more than a new chainset.

What bcd pattern do you need? Is it 104 and if so how many teeth?

IMO nothing looks as nice as the stock ones as they don't match the cranks properly. I think the Absolute Black ones look dreadful (although I can appreciate the design). YMMV.

he's talking 4-bolt road Hadge (110bcd)

I'm a big oval fan myself but njee is right, nothing looks as good (on 4-bolt) as the Shimano ones, which are £££
