After a bad experience a few years ago with a set of carbon bars I have run aluminium ones ever since. That was up until this week when In a mad moment I bought some Enve RSR carbon bars. WOW , I can't believe how much comfort it has added to my bike. I ride a fully rigid ss Inbred and these bars have all but eliminated the vibration and thumping transmitted through the bars to my hands and arms.
I would like to make the same improvement to the rear of the bike and wonder if the best option is a nice carbon seat post or wether the frame being made of basic steel is the culprit .
New frame or new seat post??
cheers
Love the idea of bars worth more than a frame.
A good seatpost makes a huge difference. A syntace p6 hiflex carbon is sesigbed to flex and really works well. Also very good is the USE Sumo titanium. The Syntace is very good and has a bombproof clamp.
