[#234792]

Got a trip to Afan coming up, ive stayed there before and usually ridden Whites or Skyline from Glyncorrwg, then taken the car to Agoed site to ride the Wall on the Sunday before going home.

Not taking cars this time though, so my question is, can I get to the Wall and back to Cymmer without using the road?

Yes in about 5 minutes down the cycle track which links both centres.

Is that the track that whites spits you out onto? if we go the other direction away from Glyncorrwg will that run us to the Argoed car park? If my bearings are right dont we need to cross the valley?

You need to cross the road in Cymmer near the road bridge but not the valley if you want the Wall

do the Wall 2 instead on day 1 and the skyline on day 2, no car required.

Wall 2 is whyte & the wall mixed into one - I've not done it myself, but there info around about it, if you search.

Hi. Yes the track/path that whites and skyline end on. Afan valley is a different valley but just crossing the road (as snaps says) sets you off down the correct way. Cross the road by the traffic lights and go right about 50 to 100 yards where the cycle path continues. Its an easy slightly downhill blast to the start of the wall then.

Crect, tinsy. Go left at the end of Whyte's and you'll end up in the carpark of a pub which has a railway platform in it. You'll have to cross the road bridge tho to get across the valley I think.. the one that looks like the Mostar bridge, but then it's back on cycleway straight away.
