Unless you like pitching tents you could try the Bryn Bettws lodge for Hostel style accommodation, you get a bed plus a fantastic fry and you are right at the start of the Wall descent.

You can do W2 (Wall and Whites Level combined) first day and Skyline the 2nd or just repeat W2 faster as it is more fun.

W2 trail = The Wall and White's Level which are the best two currently open (IMO). Skyline is too much fireroad and IIRC there are diversions too.

If you camp, be REALLY careful with your bike - lots get stolen, even from inside cars...

I'd suggest the lodge as above.

I've camped at the Glyncorrwg trail centre in the past. They had secure storage for the bikes too.

We've camped here: http://www.brodawelcamping.co.uk

Much better campsite than Glyncorrwg with descent facilities. Pubs in walking distance, 20 min's drive to trails.

There's a newly opened Rowan Sorrell trail over the hill isn't there? Where is it?

where is the Stag Do?

i'd stay clear of Skyline, as above its basically fire roads

W2 is 44km so depends how fit you are feeling

i'd recommend parking at The Afan Vistor Centre rather than parking at the bikepark. then you can get the climb out of the way first and then loop the bike park which is basically halfway down the descent of the Wall anyway

then do whites level on the Friday morning, as you can loop the bike park there as well

Some great info here! cheers! Professors plan sound pretty good! I havent done a lot of riding recently (due to marathon training ๐Ÿ˜‰ so 44km actually worries me a bit! but 10km an hour off road is pretty do-able? ide like some time to session the bike park. see how much of a pussy i really am. but are the views worth it on skyline?

stag do; we are staying in a big house near Ystradynlais? (how on earth do you say that?)but i cant extend the stay the night before. so i fancied a solo camp?! a fire and a few beers.

i actually dont have to be at the house till 4pm so may do W2 the second day and whites on the thursday.
