I'm thinking of heading to afan over the weekend but thought I'd check the trail conditions first. Does anyone know how they are running at the moment? If they are extremely wet I will probably give it a miss.

It's all hardpack, so it'll ride just fine. Actually that's not true, since they had to clear all the trees it's mostly just a rock surface now, it's brutal on my delicate hands.
I'd check for downed trees though, sometimes it's just a bit of an excorsion off the trail to get around, sometimes it's a big diversion. There's a site which will give you all the info.
