I have a train ticket to Port Talbot tomorrow and despite the weather forecast will probably still have a bash around Afan. I've not been before, but from the website it looks like Y Wal might be the best option, for someone of moderate fitness but slightly rusty when it comes to fast/steep stuff.
Do many people here do it on the train? It's a 6 mile ride to the centre, hopefully not too steep! Is the cafe any good?
Unfortuanlty I'll have a small rucksack with me, is there anywhere to leave it at the trail centre? Nothing particularly valuable but definitly don't want it left in the bushes...
Cheers
Gareth
I wouldn't think its a nice ride from the train station as its a pretty steep climb up the valley.
The Wall is great though good fun and pretty tame even for me. the cafe at that center is shocking though. The one further up the valley is far better where Skyline is.
Cafe average, isn't there left luggage at the station?
a beast of a ride up there, wont be fun in a headwind/rain which there should be!!
enjoy anyway
ah b0ll0cks. well i'm going now anyway ๐ก
will investigate the station, hadn't thought of that.
